TM 55-1520-240-T 8-4.3 ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE INDICATING SYSTEM OPERATIONAL CHECK 8-4.3 INITIAL SETUP References: Applicable Configurations: TM 55-1520-240-23 All Equipment Condition: Tools: TM 55-1520-240-23: Aircraft Mechanic's Tool Kit, Battery Connected NSN 5180-00-323-4692 Electrical Power On Materials: Hydraulic Power Off None Engine Oil Temperature Indicating System Personnel Required: Visual Medium Helicopter Repairer (2) Check Performed (Task 8-4.2) TASK RESULT NOTE Check of engine oil temperature indicating system should be performed only on cool engines. 1. Check that ENGINE NO. 1 OIL TEMP circuit breaker If OIL TEMP circuit breaker (1) is open, close it. If it opens (1) is closed. again, go to task 8-4.4. 2. Check that ENGINE NO. 2 OIL TEMP circuit breaker If OIL TEMP circuit breaker (2) is open, close it. If it opens (2) is closed. again, go to task 8-4.4. CHECK NO. 1 ENGINE SYSTEM 3. Check temperature indications on free air tempera Temperature indications shall be within 10C. If not go to ture indicator (3) and NO. 1 ENGINE OIL temperature task 8-4.5 or 8-4.5.1. If a fluctuating pointer trouble indicator (4). symptom can not be verified, go to task 8-4.5 or 8-4.5.1. CHECK NO. 2 ENGINE SYSTEM 4.
