TM 1-1520-240-107-3-1SECTION III. MAXIMUM TORQUE AVAILABLE7-3-1. Maximum Torque Available (10 MinuteOperation).Maximum torque available (10 minute operation) may beobtained from figure 7-3-1. Available torque is presentedin terms of pressure altitude and free air temperature.7-3-2. USE OF CHART.The primary use of the chart is to determine availableengine torque for various combinations of pressure alti-tude and temperature. To determine torque available, itis necessary to know pressure altitude and free air tem-perature. Enter the left side of the chart at known temper-ature, move right to known pressure altitude, then downto read torque available.7-3-3. Conditions. The chart is based on a rotor speed of 100%.Reduce the derived torque available by 1.8% howevernot at transmission torque limit.7-3-4. Maximum Torque Available (30 MinuteOperation).Maximum Torque Available (30 Minute Operation)may be obtained from figure 7-3-2. Available torqueis presented in terms of PA and FAT.7-3-5. Use of Chart. The primary use of the chart is to determine availableengine torque for various combinations of pressure alti-tude and temperature. To determine torque available, itis necessary to know pressure altitude and free air tem-perature. Enter the left side of the chart at known temper-ature, move right to known pressure altitude, then downto read intermediate torque available.7-3-6. Conditions. The chart is based on a rotor speed of 100%.7-3-7. EAPS Installed.Reduce the derived torque available by 1.8% howevernot at transmission torque limit.
