At OUT theRAD TEST feature is in-operative.IDENT-MIC SwitchAT IDENT, the set willtransmit a coded identifi-cation pulse for about 20seconds to all interrogat-ing stations on modes 1,2, and 3/A to identify thehelicopters position. OUTposition turns off theidentification pulse. MICfeature is not used in thisinstallation.STATUS IndicatorsThe indicator lights arepart of built-in-test equip-ment. A lit ALT indicatorindicates trouble in Theencoding altimeter. A litKIT indicator indicatestrouble in the computeror the computer is notinstalled. A lit ANT indi-cator indicates antennatrouble.ANT SwitchThree-position antennadiversity switch labeledTOP, DIV, and BOT. Nor-mal position is DIV.When jamming is heavy,TOP or BOT antennamay be selected.IFF Fail Light (Locatedon the center instrumentpanel)The light will illuminate inMODE 4 when any of thefollowing occurs:a. The computer isinstalled without a code.b. No reply or improperreply is made to a validinterrogation.c. A malfunction occursin the transponder.
