TASK
RESULT
CHECK FORWARD TRANSMISSION LUBRICATION SYSTEM
1.
Check oil level sight gage (1).
If oil level is low, service transmission. Refer to
TM 55-1520-240-23.
2.
Check oil filter indicating button (2).
If button (2) is extended, replace filter element
and inspect removed element for debris. Refer to
TM 55-1520-240-23.
3.
Check bottom of forward transmission for oil
If any oil leaks are found, investigate source.
leaks.
Tighten or replace leaking part as required.
4.
Check inside and outside of cooler (3).
If cooler is clogged, clean or replace it as re-
quired. If leaks are found, replace cooler.
5.
Check top of forward transmission for oil
If any oil leaks are found, investigate source.
leaks.
Tighten or replace leaking part as required.
