Pull knob out to move from, or to this position. LAMP TEST Checks operation of all lamps and lamp seg- ments. TEST Initiates (BIT) for set. System reverts to backup navigation operation dur- ing mode. UTM Selects universal trans- verse mercator coordi- nate system for display and insertion of informa- tion. LAT/LONG Select latitude/longitude coordinate system for display and insertion of information. BACKUP Places set in remem- bered velocity mode of operation. DISPLAY Selector Selects navigation data for display as follows: WIND SP/DIR Used only with BACKUP mode. (Left Display) Windspeed kilometer(s) per hour. (Right Display) Direction (degrees) rela- tive to true north. XTK/TKE (Left Display) Distance crosstrack error (XTK) in km and tenths of a km left or right of heli- copter. Track error will also be displayed by the course deviation indicator (CDI) on the HSI when DOP. SEL on the HSI MODE SELECT panel is pressed. (Right Display) Track angle error (TKE) in degrees and right or left of present helicopter heading. CONTROLS/ INDICATOR FUNCTION GS/TK (Left Display) Ground speed (GS) in km/hr. (Right Display) Track angle in degrees relative to true north. PP with mode switch set to UTM (Center Display) Present position UTN zone. (Left Display) Present position UTM square designator and easting in km to nearest 10 meters. (Right Display) Present position UTM northing in km nearest 10 meters. PP with MODE switch set to LAT/LONG (Left Display) Present latitude position in degrees, minutes, and tenths of minutes. (Right Display) Present longitude posi- tion in degrees, minutes, and tenths of minutes. DIST/BRG/TIME (Center Display) Time to the destination set on FLY-TO DEST thumbwheel in minutes and tenths of minutes. (Left Display) Distance to the destina- tion set on FLY-TO DEST thumbwheel in km and tenths of a km. (Right Display) Bearing to the destination set on FLY- TO DEST thumbwheel is degrees. Bearing is also indicated by the No. 1 bearing pointer on both HSIs. DEST/TGT (Center Display) UTM zone of destination set on DEST DISP thumbwheel. (Left Display) UTM square designator and easting or latitude (N 84_ to S 80_ approx) of destination set on DEST DISP thumbwheel.
